Licence Terms

A purchase on WebBuddyMarketplace is a licence, not a sale of the copyright. The author keeps the copyright. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the files in the way the tier you paid for allows. The licence terms shown on the product at checkout control if they are tighter than this page. This page controls if they are silent.

Licences are issued to the account that paid. They are revoked if the order is refunded, charged back, or found to be in breach. A revoked licence is not a licence.

Regular licence

You may use the item in one end product. That end product may be a site, an app, or a tool you ship to a client. The end users of that product must not be charged for access to it (no paid login, no SaaS fee, no sold seats that exist because of this item).

  • One end product. A second product needs a second Regular licence or an Extended licence.
  • You may hire a developer to install it for that one end product. They do not receive their own licence.
  • You may not redistribute the files, resell them, put them in a bundle, or offer them as a download.
  • You may not use the item to build a competing marketplace, generator, or product that exposes the item's source as a feature.

Extended licence

Everything in Regular, except the end users of that one end product may be charged for access — subscriptions, seats, or a paid product that embeds the item. Still one end product. Still no resale of the files themselves.

What neither licence is

  • Not a trademark licence for the author's name, the product name, or WebBuddyMarketplace.
  • Not a right to the author's other products.
  • Not a right to updates after the product is withdrawn, except files already delivered.
  • Not transferable, except as part of selling the single end product the licence covers, and only if the buyer agrees to these terms and you keep no copy.
  • Not a warranty that the code is fit for your purpose. Read the Refund Policy.

Support and updates

Author support, if offered, runs for the months shown on the listing, starting at purchase. It is help with the item as sold, not custom work and not a guaranteed response time unless the listing states one. Lifetime updates, where promised, means updates the author actually publishes for that product, not a duty to keep building it.

Our position

WebBuddyMarketplace is the licensor of record for the transaction: we take the money, we issue the licence code, we sign the download. The author supplies the files and the copyright licence through us. A dispute about quality is handled under the Refund Policy, not by you rewriting this licence after the fact.
